About Course
This course of study provides a firm foundation in foot Reflexology. Beginning with relaxation techniques, the students are guided through each system of the human body. Focus is on locating the organs and glands correctly on the feet, followed by the correct working technique on each reflex. This involves the appropriate rhythm, pressure and posture for every technique, namely, Thumb-walk, Finger-walk, Hook-in, Pivot, Finger-roll, Ankle and Toe rotations, and several others as the students work through all the reflexes on the feet.
Systems covered are:
1. The Endocrine Glands
2. The Sense Organs
3. The Skeletal, Muscular and Nervous Systems
4. The Digestive System
5. The Cardiovascular System
6. The Urinary System
7. The Respiratory System
8. The Reproductive System
9. The Lymphatic System
An overview of the anatomy and physiology of each organ and gland is also provided in order to give students a clear understanding of how the human body works. On successfully completing the training, students are able to independently conduct an Acupressure Reflexology session with confidence.
